Beautiran’s maritime heritage is an integral part of our community’s identity, shaped by centuries of seafaring traditions and a close relationship with the ocean. At BEL BOTIRAN YE JODI DEMEN, we recognize the importance of preserving this heritage for future generations. Our programs are designed to protect and celebrate the historical, cultural, and ecological significance of Beautiran’s maritime environment. We work closely with local fishermen, boat builders, and maritime historians to document and preserve traditional knowledge and practices.

One of our key initiatives is the ‘Maritime Memories’ project, which aims to collect and preserve oral histories from local seafarers. We interview fishermen, sailors, and boat builders to capture their stories and experiences, creating a valuable archive of maritime knowledge. These oral histories provide insights into the challenges and rewards of life at sea, as well as the evolution of maritime technology and traditions. By preserving these stories, we ensure that the voices of Beautiran’s maritime community are heard and remembered.

We also work to protect and restore historical maritime sites, such as lighthouses, shipwrecks, and traditional boatyards. These sites are tangible reminders of Beautiran’s maritime past and serve as important educational resources for the community. By preserving these sites, we create opportunities for visitors to learn about Beautiran’s maritime heritage and to appreciate the importance of protecting our coastal environment. Our commitment to preserving Beautiran’s maritime heritage is driven by a deep respect for the sea and a desire to ensure that this vital part of our community’s identity is cherished for generations to come.
